My dog Petey is fairly hygiene conscious; he fancies baths and isn’t a big fan of walking outside when it’s wet or muddy. He does a great job of keeping himself clean, but when the Vet told me to start brushing his teeth, I was thinking it would turn into a big chore, like the time I tried clipping his nails. Many of my pet-owner friends also cautioned me about teeth brushing “you’re both going to hate it!”
That first attempt to brush his teeth proved otherwise. Not only does he actually like it, he prefers to do it on his own and actually does a reasonably good job at brushing!
